Easter weekend and thousands of visitors will be
coming to the peak district national park, but just
below the top of Longstone Edge I met only four
people in two hours.

It's a mystery how the gorse bushes thrive on the

stoney south facing Longstone Edge.

The gorse bushes are in bloom in the spring sunshine.

March 2007. The weather is warming up, the grass
is starting to grow and the daffodils are coming into
bloom. The village of Great Longstone is just the same
as always, nestling below Longstone Edge.

Feemouth Yard. A footpath to the church passes through

this pleasant area from the centre of the village.
